Organic Candystick Squash from Hearts and Roots

Most delicata have a honey sweet or even maple flavor, but Candystick Dessert Delicata has a richer medjool date-like flavor that is truly addictive. The fruit is tan skinned with green stripes, which we find much more attractive than the more common yellow-skinned delicata varieties. Cryssi has created for us a CANDYSTICK SQUASH CRUMBLE recipe.

Organic Spanish Onions from Hearts and Roots

I mean, I don't know if this one even needs instructions or how I could sufficiently follow up "Italy's Red Queen" with any sufficient description. Sweet, organic local onions -- mix them into that galette, or if you're feeling adventurous, try a jam!

Organic Red Tropeana Onion from Hearts and Roots

Incredibly sweet red variety -- also known as "Italy's Red Queen".

Though using this one for a mirepoix or soffrito base might be somewhat of a waste of its incredible sweetness and raw palatability, IT'S YOUR LIFE! Use it how you want! If you go that route, I'd suggest trying this specific soup, built around this onion.

Works well grilled, salt-baked, roasted, or, in true Tropean fashion sliced razor thin and served raw in oil, in proper Tropean fashion slice it razor thin and serve with oil and bread. Cryssi has worked up an amazing, summery caramelized onion and tomato galette if you're feeling decadent! Check it out here!

Organic Poultry Season Bouquet (Rosemary, thyme, sage, parsley) from Blue Lagoon

A customized herbs bouquet, perfect for the season!

Organic Celeriac from Blue Lagoon

It is a Local, spray free celery root. Both the stems and the shoots are edible. It has an earthy taste with a slight hint of celery flavor. The texture is close to a turnip or potato. This is a root to get creative with, I’ve heard stories from awesome customers who make soups, salads, stews, and even as a substitute for potatoes. Cryssi took upon herself the challenge of putting together a great recipe for celeriac. Check it out here ROASTED CELERIAC & PARSNIP SOUP.

Spray-free Orange Carrots from Jonathan Farms

Sweet, tender and fresh -- did you know the greens are an excellent source of nutrition and EASY to turn into a delicious dish all on their own? Check out Cryssi's Carrot Greens: 3 ways, on the recipe blog for your own inspiration!

Spray free Broccoli from Wild Earth

It’s so good! Try Cryssi’s twist on the classic ROASTED BROCCOLI & CARROTS

Spray free Head Lettuce from Jonothan Farms

It's enjoyed for its mild flavor and crispness. It's a delicious addition to salads and perfect for lettuce wraps. Store lettuce in the refrigerator's crisper wrapped in a damp paper towel and sealed in a bag. The leaves will absorb moisture from the towel and you can replace it if the leaves become soggy. Iceberg lettuce should keep for four to five days before it begins to wilt.

Spray free Green Beans from Jonothan Farms

This legume is a summer essential. Tender, slightly sweet and perfect for pickling, par-boiling (even grilling!).

Spray free Komatsuna Greens from Jonothan Farms

Komatsuna, also known as “tender greens,” and is harvested in bundles of individual leaves that resemble spinach. Similar to other Asian greens in the Brassica family, like tatsoi and baby bok choy, komatsuna has broad green leaves that are a good source of calcium.

Komatsuna leaves are tender and rich in flavor, and its mustard-like flavor is why it's called Japanese mustard spinach. Similar to other greens, komatsuna can be consumed at any stage, and is often used in salads but its more mature counterpart can also withstand higher temperatures like in stir-fries.

Spray free Pink Sweet Turnips from Jonothan Farms

This is something new for me too. You can use the pink sweet turnip’s greens as herbs! And eat the root. The exterior color of the root is magenta pink while the flesh is variegated with bleeds of translucent white and pink colors, similar to that of a radish. Baby Pink turnips have a unique flavor compared to other turnip varieties. They have a noticeably milder flavor with balanced sweetness and subtle notes of pepper. Though the flesh can be considered tender compared to common larger varieties, it offers a crunchy succulent texture.

Organic Celery from Blue Lagoon
