Store lettuce in the refrigerator's crisper wrapped in a damp paper towel and sealed in a bag. The leaves will absorb moisture from the towel and you can replace it if the leaves become soggy. Iceberg lettuce should keep for four to five days before it begins to wilt.

Flat Cabbage from Wild Earth Farms

Savoy Cabbage from Wild Earth Farms

Savoy Cabbage leaves have the distinctively wrinkled appearance and can store well in a hydrator drawer. You can put the cabbage in a plastic bag to help retain moisture but it isn't totally necessary. If you use only a partial head, make sure to tightly wrap the remainder and put into the fridge.
