Summer Food Boxes 2021!

Welcome to the 2021 Summer Food Box Program!

Over the next 15 weeks, this is where you'll find recipes and inspiration to use your fresh ingredients from our amazing local farmers. Some products will be familiar, others may raise some eyebrows - we're here to make sure that by the time we're through, you're a produce-professional with a few new favourites and some creative twists on local classics!

There's a bit more to the story...
By participating in this program, you're contributing to sustainable farming and consumption practices that support a local supply chain, minimize on-farm waste, align economic demand with production, and promote positive changes in consumer education around food!
Across the Canada's food supply chain alone, around 35.5 million tonnes of food goes to waste each year (~56.5 million tonnes of CO2 equivalent), and ~22% of this happens at the farm level due to aesthetics, order cancellation, labour shortages and price fluctuations creating economic catastrophe should farmers choose to follow through to harvest all of their crop (source: Second Harvest).
At Crampton's, our aim has always been to connect farmers+food to our friends (you!) as directly as possible. As our time in the industry, and the technology available develops, we will continue to streamline the processes that ensure access to fresh and sustainable food products throughout the year!
