Simple Sauteed Radish
Sautéing the radishes brings out their sweetness. This recipe also uses the greens on the radish so nothing goes to waste. Pair it with a bit of feta and and some sesame seeds and you get a variety of flavours in every bite!
Ingredients:
1 bunch radish
1 tablespoon oil
1 small red onion, cut into slices
3 cloves garlic, chopped
1/2 teaspoon salt, or to taste
1 tablespoon lemon juice Garnish Sprinkle of sesame seeds
2 – 3 tbsp grated feta
Instructions:
1) Cut the leaves off the radishes, wash both the radishes and the leaves really well in cold water
2) Heat oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat, add onion and cook until softened, about 2 minutes. Add garlic and cook until fragrant, about 1 minute, stirring often.
3) Add chopped radish leaves, sliced radishes and stir. Keep stirring often and cook until the greens are wilted and radishes are tender about 5-8 minutes. Season with salt and pepper to taste and add a squeeze of lemon.
4) Portion on to a plate and sprinkle each portion with feta cheese and sesame seeds
