Gourmet Protein Shares to Receive a Minimum of 2 of the Following:

Pickerel (sustainably harvested) - This pickerel was fished near Pukatawagan. It has been de-boned and filleted. Once thawed, it can be pan fried with butter, lemon and herbs. You can also batter it and fry or bake! It's cooked through once the colour turns opaque and the fish flakes apart easily. Here's a recipe from Ciao Winnipeg for Herb Crusted Pickerel with Lemon Basil Sauce! Bison or Beef (freely ranged) - This meat is from Swan Lake First Nation! It's a stewing meat which will need to be put into a slow cooker for soups, stew, or marinaded and cooked with broccoli. Try the meat in this recipe for Slow Cooker Korean Beef! Whip up some rice and steamed veggies and you've got a delicious meal! Chicken Breast (freely ranged) - This chicken comes from Waldner Meats in Niverville, MB! Once thawed, it can be cooked for several different things! You can grill for tacos or quesidillas, put in a stir fry, slice thinly for on top of a salad, put in wraps, barbecued, or stuff the breasts with spinach and feta cheese!
