Protein Shares September 26/27

Here's What you Can expect in this Week's Protein Share:

Gourmet Protein:

Trout Fillet - Trout is from Watersong Farms in Warren, MB. The trout is grown in an indoor freshwater system where water is recycled. Trout is similar in taste and colour to salmon and you can cook it in a pan with a bit of butter, lemon juice and fresh dill! The trout is done when it flakes apart easily. Bison Ribeye - Bison is from Spring Creek Farms in Cypress River, MB. The bison is raised on rotating pastures and grass fed. This steak will need to be thawed completely first. Then you can either cook it in a pan on medium heat for a few minutes per side, or heat up a BBQ to high, turn down to low and cook for a few minutes per side. Do not overcook. Season with your favourite steak spice and then let it rest a few minutes before serving so it can absorb the juices.

You can use the ground pork for cabbage rolls, meatballs, wontons or lettuce wraps! Hot Italian Sausage - This sausage is from Spring Creek Farms.
