Here's what you can expect in your bag this week:
Regular Protein
Pork Breakfast Sausage - Delivered by Spring Creek, this pork is pastured, free run, and is fed a home-grown feed with no antibiotics or hormones. These sausages are great for a brunch or weekend breakfast at the lake. Easiest to fry in a pan for 5-6 minutes each. Once done cooking, use the fat in the pan later on to sauté greens, kohlrabi or cabbage!
Chicken Thighs - This chicken is from Oak Island. It's freely run in a low density barn, and fed no animal product or antibiotics in the feed. Chicken thighs have a bit more fat than chicken breasts and they have a better flavour and texture in my opinion! Use them on the grill for this recipe:
Grilled Orange Chicken Lettuce Wraps.
Beef Minute Steak -These are from Spring Creek. Take a round steak, and put it through a mechanical tenderizer, and you get a minute steak!!! Pre tenderized, easy for a fast fry steak, nice to bread and cook up in a pan for a steak sandwich. This steak can also be seasoned, grilled and then used in tacos or a stir fry! Use this
Marinated Steak Taco's recipe for some inspiration.
Gourmet Protein

Chicken Sicilian Sausage - Delicious sausages to grill with some veggies and corn for an easy summer meal. Heat up the grill to high and then get a nice crisp brown colour on the sausage, then turn down to low.
Bison Minute Steak - These are from Spring Creek. Take a round steak, and put it through a mechanical tenderizer, and you get a minute steak!!! Pre tenderized, easy for a fast fry steak, nice to bread and cook up as bison Milanese or turn into a bison marinara!
