July 11 CSA
Hello everyone!
We have just finished packing up this week's CSA's. I must admit. They are beautiful. After last week's 36 degree packing experience, we have learned how to be more efficient, and keep the produce in the cooler for as long as possible. Everything in tomorrow's bags was still in the ground this morning, was at the shop by 11 am, and was packed in a bag in the cooler by 3! We're getting better at this.
Below is the list of what is in your bags! You will be getting lots of lettuce in this batch, and eat them with gusto. This heat means that the lettuces are bolting in the fields and will probably be unavailable in a few weeks. That's the thing with seasonal food. It's seasonal. Enjoy the lettuces while they are around.
Please remember to bring your empty CSA bag to the store tomorrow when you come to pick up your share. If you forget your bag, we'll have to charge you a dollar for a new one and we really don't want to do that.

Let me know what you made with your CSA this week! I love the feed back and the photos. I got a photo of a rhubarb and saskatoon pie sent over to me that I wished was my own last week.
Take care!
