First Protein CSA of 2013!!
How exciting is this. We are on the cusp of our first protein CSA pick up!
This week everyone will have a fresh as well as a frozen component to their shares. So if you see our staff running around, they are getting your main bag out of the freezer, then adding in the fresh items.
You have no idea how excited our producers are to have the chance to try new items for your csa shares. In the weeks to come you'll find so many new and fun items that our butcher is able to make specially for the CSA bags. You should feel a little bit exclusive if I do say so myself.
Full Share! This week each full share bag will contain...
-1 dozen organic freely ranged eggs (Hermann Grauer from Nature's Farm is the ONLY organic egg producer in Manitoba. )
1 pack of rind on tamworth bacon. Tamworth is a heritage variety of hog which is prized for its delicious bacon. The pork is freely ranged, never caged, fed a vegetarian diet and not given any chemical supplements.
1 pack of boneless skinless chicken thighs (chicken is freely run and naturally raised)
1 back of chicken drumsticks (free run chicken as above)
1 chunk of chicken salami (chicken is freely ranged and all natural)
