CSA pick up Sept 24
The sun is shining and the temperature is rising. Let's take one more kick at a bbq themed CSA!!!
Remember, the beef and bison that you have in this weeks shares are grass fed. That means they are lean. That means that you'll have to cook them on a lower temperature. Get your bbq heated up to high just to get the grills hot. Then turn the bbq down to low, put your fully thawed room temperature steak or burger on the grill, and start your timer. It doesn't take long for these meats to be overdone, so a kitchen timer is a must! I cook my tenderloin for 2 minutes per side and burgers for 3 minutes per side. That's it.
This week's meat share to contain.
Bison burger patties. Freely ranged, grass fed, no antibiotics or grown hormones or animal by products in the feed. Burger patties are gluten free!
Pork farmer sausage. Pork is freely ranged, raised without the use of antibiotics, growth hormones or animal by products in the feed. Sausage is gluten free and naturally wood smoked.
Beef Tenderloin. Freely ranged, grass fed, no antibiotics or grown hormones or animal by products in the feed.
