CSA pick up August 27
It's been raining cats and dogs! Because of all of this rain, we've had to change the contents of the CSA bags 3 times. Farmers could not get into the field to harvest so many things with all of the mud. The fields were really dry and everyone needed the rain, but 4 inches over the course of 3 days was a little much. In your share you will find a green tomato looking thing that has a papery husk covering it. That's the tomatillo. It tastes like a cross between a green pepper and a green tomato.
